From September 8 to 13, 2026, Tazacorte hosts the XXVII Spanish National Underwater Video Championship (CEVISUB 2026), organised by the Spanish Federation of Underwater Activities (FEDAS) together with the Canary Islands Federation of Underwater Activities. Pairs of certified divers from across Spain will compete by filming and editing underwater short films at various points along Tazacorte's coastline, showcasing the rich marine life, flora and volcanic underwater landscape. The championship will close on Saturday, September 12, with a public closing gala featuring the screening of the best videos and the awards ceremony.
